This challenge really should have been easy… It was all about reading free ebooks and I have tons of free ebooks that I downloaded from Project Gutenburg and several from Baen’s free library. However, there were just so many good books that I came across this year that I couldn’t bring myself to put any of the free books I had downloaded before any of the other books I chose. Not that the books from Project Gutenburg and Baen aren’t good, of course, but some of them I had already read, some I just wasn’t in the mood for, or some were part of series and I didn’t have the whole series. You guys know how I am with a series!
Needless to say, since I wasn’t able to read a single book that qualified for this challenge, I failed. :-( However, don’t let that stop you from grabbing some of Baen’s free books! Trust me, they’re worth it! They have some of the best sci-fi authors giving their books away for free! No DRM, too. It’s worth it, trust me!

Failed

Don’t be hard on yourself, I failed at my own reading challenge too. This year, I’m gonna try to fit in one FREE read a month, and hopefully, I’ll stick to my plan.
Thanks for the wrap up and the links. I didn’t know about Baen’s free library. Glad I have it bookmarked now.
I really took on too many challenge in 2011. I read plenty, but it was a hectic year in general and overloading my challenge list was a poor decision. On the plus side, I’ve completed my collection of certain series (or what was out) so that I can read straight through. :-D
And if you like Sci-Fi, the Baen free library is one of the best web locations in the world!!
