Smokers Suck

Ugh…  I hate smokers!  It’s a nasty, disgusting, repulsive habit and it stinks!  Literally.

On the way home from work I got stuck behind some smoking idiot.  I like to drive with my window down so that I can enjoy the fresh air.  This evening, though, I ended up with a face full of cancer smoke.  How disgusting is that?!

I swear, one of the worst things a person can do is smoke in public.  And yes, unless your windows are up, smoking in your car is smoking in public!  You are killing all the people around you including me.  And as far as I’m concerned, I’m a hell of lot more important than you.

Lungs at Work No Smoking

I finally gave up trying to enjoy fresh air and rolled my window up.  Unfortunately the smell was still in the car until I got home.

I have never smoked a day in my life.  I will never smoke and will happily beat the shit out of my husband if he was to ever smoke anything.

When I was in middle school, one of the best teachers ever had this poster on his wall:

If what happened on your inside happened on your outside, would you still smoke?

This was the largest I could find the image online and it doesn’t give the effect that a full size poster does, but I think it’s pretty clear.  Essentially the girls skin looks charred and crumbly.  It’s horrifying and I can’t imagine that anyone would choose to look that way.

I can go one and on about the nastiness of smoking, but I do tend to get really mean the more I go on about it, so I’ll spare you that.

So, yeah, if you’re around me, don’t smoke!  I will say something and it will likely be rude.  Also, I won’t apologize for calling your cancer stick a cancer stick.  If you don’t like the term the throw the cancer stick away.
