I finished almost all of my to-do list and, with the exception of laundry, remaking the bed, and vacuuming the bedroom, all the vital tasks were completed. I'm pleased and I have a clean house again.
Every time I clean, though, I'm in awe of the stupidity of the people who owned the house before us. Who in their right mind would apply bug killing gel inside kitchen cabinets next to food and dishes?! For that matter, how did you have a bug problem at all? We have three cats, s turtle, a snake, a gecko, and two humans in the house; we're not overly messy, but plates will stay in various rooms or in the sink for a few days sometimes with no problems. We never have bug problems – we'll, except for all the dead roaches +Jaime Terry cleaned out if the oven shortly after we moved in. (Thanks for that bit of nastiness!) I still wish I had insisted on a professional whole house deep-cleaning before we moved in.
On the plus side, +Leeroy Jenkins Terry helped me pick up. Every time I came across a mouse toy he would pick it up and put it away. I suppose I'll find them somewhere in the library later. :-)
